It is taught by the Buddhist masters that generosity of supporting Dharma teachers generates positive effects that ripple forward creating benefits for countless beings. By freely offering the teachings, Dharma teachers can avoid the demerit of commercializing the Dharma. By supporting Dharma teachers as well as helping with teaching events, sponsors can accumulate considerable merit and participate in the merit of the teacher and organizers. Participating in the teaching sessions generates the accumulation of both merit and wisdom by all whom partake. In the West, this system of free teachings and generous sponsors is unfamiliar, but we are slowly spreading the wisdom of the amazing benefits created by acts of generosity that support the Dharma. This is a great demonstration of interdependent origination in action.

By keeping his living expenses extremely low and living frugally, Hazlitt has been able to freely offer 300+ Dharma teaching sessions across North America since October 2009. However, he does incur living expenses for things like food, gasoline and health care. The donations he has been receiving at teachings have not been entirely covering his overall expenses. Your contributions to Hazlitt will allow him to continue to offer free teachings in the upcoming months.

Due to the fees charged for online transactions, donating by mailing a check or money order is the most effective way to make every dollar of your gift count. There are two major options for donating:

Option One: The first option is a direct donation to Hazlitt. This can be either a one-time donation or a recurring donation of $5 to $108 per month made via PayPal. Recurring donations can be canceled at any time. This option includes information on how to mail in direct donations by check.

Option Two: The second option is to make a tax-deductable donation to the Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation, and mark your donation as earmarked for Hazlitt's fees at the Dzogchen Retreat Center. This will enable Hazlitt to plan to schedule further time at the DRC to deepen and broaden his ability to teach Dharma. This option can be paid either online or via a mailed check.
